Hi Yvonne,
I would like to thank you for teaching me the skills I
need to be a safe and confident driver.
Thanks to your knowledge, experience and your patience I
was able to pass the driving test first time. I have been with other teachers
before and I was not impressed with their methods of teaching. Yvonne helped
me with my nerves and gave me confidence.
I’m glad I found Yvonnes
Complete Driving School and the privilege to meet Yvonne, a great lady and
very professional. Will recommend to anybody who needs an excellent driving
teacher and hope she is still teaching when my kids need driving lessons,
because definitely she will be the one teaching them.
Thank you again for all the help and the confidence you
gave me and all the best in the future.
Regards,
Bruno Lopes

driving lessons enjoyable.

I thought I would never be able to drive.... Having passed
my driving tests overseas first and 8 years later in Australia with “great results”
did not help me to start driving. I was afraid. I had no idea how to control
the car; it had its own life! I knew how to pass the test. That’s all I knew.
Having a toddler and not being able to drive around – that
was a disaster. That’s why I decided to give it another go and started my
internet search for a perfect instructor. I knew it would be better if it was
a person who had some experience with students like me, those who needed to
overcome their fear and “inability” to drive a car. I was very lucky to find
Yvonne, and the testimonials I’ve read on her web-site gave me some hope.
It took me about 3 months and it was completely different
from all the lessons I have had before. Yvonne was teaching me using both
theory and practice put together. She explained every step, “breaking it into
small parts” and it finally occurred to me, how it all worked.
I did not have the paralysing stress, when I was first
driving by myself. I actually enjoyed driving.
The only thing I miss now is Yvonne’s company as she is
nice and funny and a great person to talk to.

Dear Yvonne,
Thank you so much for helping me to achieve the goal of
becoming a safe and confident driver, please feel free to use my testimony on
your website.
When I first met Yvonne, I was a big ball of nervousness
and so full of fear about driving. I had my Learner's licence for about 10
years and had tried to learn to drive a manual car with both of my parents and
two other driving instructors, but as a nervous person, I really needed
emotional support to conquer my fear. My very first experience behind the
wheel was with my dad in a manual car, he had tried to get me to do a hill
start in reverse! I just couldn't do it and after lots of shouting from my
dad and tears in my eyes I just gave up. Each attempt at getting behind the
wheel after that resulted in my parents and instructors shouting at me,
because I had no confidence in my ability and no driving skills to speak of
this made my nerves worse and the goal of being a driver seem like an
impossible target. Last year I read a testimony by one of Yvonne's students
on this website and I called Yvonne straight away to make my first
appointment.
Yvonne is such a caring, thoughtful and lovely person, and
her way of teaching is so methodical and logical, after about three lessons I
knew with certainty that I was heading in the right direction to overcoming
nervousness and my fear of driving. Yvonne took the time to explore what was
really happening for me emotionally when I had tried driving in the past, and
suggested that I give up learning in a manual for now and try automatic
instead. Each week I could feel the change happening inside of me slowly, a
confidence and calmness was growing. Yvonne's support, kindness and belief in
me was so consistent every week, that made me feel
safe, calm and in control to get behind the wheel and drive.
I carefully completed my homework, and as Yvonne showed me
slowly step by step each procedure and explained in detail the reasons why
driving a car safely is more important than anything else. I began to see
myself differently and with that change I came to feel very different about
my fears. It wasn't all hard work, having shared many hours of laughter and
joy with Yvonne, I know she is the a very talented
teacher and is one who genuinely cares about each her students. We even came
up with a fantastic business idea together for a book shop/gluten free
drive-in cafe (called The Lop-sided Buns) that I hope to one day make a
reality.
This week I successfully completed my goal of becoming a
safe driver (with a RTA score of 98.13 !) and I know
now that I can do anything as long as I have the right attitude. Now when I
get in behind the wheel, I love driving and I feel calm and grounded and I
trust in my abilities to be a safe driver for the rest of my life. I feel
like a new person, one who is willing to meet challenges, not a shivering
mess of fear. Life is far to
short to worry and be afraid like I had been in the past. Yvonne helped me
find and trust in my own inner strength and for that I am so grateful to
Yvonne.
Thank you again Yvonne for you amazing support and
knowledge and for just being the wonderful lady that you are!!! I have had a
silly smile all over my face since Tuesday, and while I know I put in so much
hard work to achieve the goal of being a safe driver, I could not have done
it without your kindness, patience and consistent positive attitude. I truly
believe that you are a gifted teacher and that any student can benefit from
your driving school.
If you have finished reading this and are still not
convinced that Yvonne's Complete Driving School is right for you, I encourage
you to contact Yvonne, right now, because you will be in very safe hands and
will also have an opportunity get to know a fabulous person.
Take care and keep well, hope to see you in the very near
future :)
Kind Regards,

Dear Yvonne,
Please feel free to use the testimonial below on your
website:
At 34 years old I passed my driving test over 15 years ago
and had hardly driven since the day of my test. Every time I tried to drive I
would be gripped by fear – panic in my stomach, sweaty palms and unable to
focus or concentrate. During these years I tried various refresher courses –
all of which were unsuccessful and just confirmed in my mind I could never be
a driver. It was torment getting behind the wheel and I felt like a failure
because I couldn’t perform a skill which so many other people seemed to
manage so easily.
I came to Yvonne as a last attempt to drive. I had read
her website and thought “if this lady can’t help me, then I’ll give up
forever”. From the moment we met I realised Yvonne was taking my fear of
driving problem seriously. She did not think I was silly, or incompetent, but
rather told me she had met and HELPED many other women who have had similar
fears. This acceptance was the start of a long road to my driving success,
and made me feel Yvonne was “on my side”, and that the car and driving were no longer my enemy.
I spent many weeks just learning how to maneuver the car.
In the past teachers had always rushed this bit but this time I learned to
control my vehicle EXACTLY in the way I wished. I no longer rushed corners or
oversteered or braked too quickly or straddled lanes– events that previously
would result in me giving myself a fright. During this time there was
“homework” – theoretical understanding of road rules. When I got better at
managing the car Yvonne started to introduce me to thinking about the road
and other users – observation being the biggest lesson of all! I quickly realised that Yvonne
“masterminded” the whole project and every week I felt I took a small step up
on a ladder. I think I was a slow learner – perhaps because there were so
many years of negative feelings about driving to undo – but Yvonne’s patience
was limitless and her obvious joy when we made progress inspired me to keep
going at times when my own enthusiasm was flagging.
I am now a competent, safe and confident driver. In my
eyes Yvonne has achieved the impossible! She has said so many times “you have
earned your place on the road” and now I really believe it – and know that
those feelings of fear can never return now. And Yvonne, I would like to say
to you, that you have earned from me a lifetime’s gratitude for giving me a
skill which I so badly wanted, you have earned my respect and admiration for
being a truly great teacher, and you have earned my friendship for your very
personal dedication to helping me.
I would recommend Yvonne’s Driving School to anyone
wanting to learn to drive in a safe, methodical and complete way. In my
opinion you simply will not find a better teacher out there!
Thank you Yvonne
With best wishes
Vicki Parkin.

Dear Yvonne,
Firstly I'd like to thank you for teaching me the skills I need to be a safe
and confident driver. Thanks to your great knowledge, experience, your
patience and your fantastic sense of humour, I was able to feel at ease
during all stages of the learning process.
Secondly, I'd like to address anyone out there reading
these testimonials who's thinking about booking a class with Yvonne. I
cannot stress how highly I hold Yvonne and her driving school in esteem. Like
most Learner drivers I "shopped around" when initially looking for
an instructor. I tried a few different schools and overall I was not
impressed with their methods of teaching. Some methods were so complex that I
felt really overwhelmed and reluctant to get back behind the wheel. Farewell
to my confidence!
But then I found Yvonne, and she helped me get through the nerves by teaching
me methods that were the best for *me*. This is so important! Just because
one method works for one student, it does not mean it will work for the next,
and Yvonne was great because she worked with me to find the best way. Other
instructors were not so flexible.
I feel very privileged to have been taught by Yvonne, I know I am a safe
driver with skills that will stick with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you,
Michelle "Elle" Vojtisek

Hi Yvonne,
I finally got my act together - please feel free to post this on your website
:-) I hope you are well. My neighbour may be calling you for lessons soon!
Take care and a big kiss, Tiina :-) !!!!
It takes me a long time to do things and I meant to write this in June last
year, which is when I passed my driving test first go at the age of 37 after
having lessons from Yvonne. I had intended to get my driving license as soon
as I turned 17 but my parents were worried freedom would interfere with my
studies. Then somehow for the next twenty years life interfered with any need
for me to learn how to drive. Until I had a baby. On maternity leave from
work without access to a car the need to learn how to drive became very
apparent. I looked up the internet, rang 2 local driving schools,
spoke to another proprietor and Yvonne, felt comfortable with Yvonne and
booked in some lessons.
Yvonne gave me confidence straight away. I felt comfortable immediately and
was very surprised that I drove that first lesson. My second lesson she had
me crossing the Harbour Bridge. Essentially what Yvonne imparted to me as a
driver were simple and safe steps and procedures that I now follow
subconsciously. My paramount concern was that I would be driving our daughter
and I needed to be competent and confident on the road to ensure her safety,
let alone mine and anyone else sharing the road.
Yvonne's program is sensible, practical and very well thought out. She
epitomises professionalism. Not only that, she is a lovely funny lady and I
always looked forward to the conversations that we
inevitably had as we drove around Sydney. We still keep in touch and what
drove me (pardon the pun) to remind me to write this testimony a year after
getting my license is that my next door neighbour saw my P plates on the car
and asked where I'd learnt to drive as her son needs a teacher.
If you are a parent and your teenager is learning to drive - well put it this
way - in 15 years time, if Yvonne is still working, I know who I'm sending my
daughter to for lessons. If you are a late bloomer like me and feel the
double whammy of learning to drive and learning to drive at your age - 'what
- you don't have your driving license!' - look no
further - you have found the ideal driving school.

Dear Yvonne,
I would like to thank you for your lessons which very much helped me to pass
my test.
You were perfectly suited to a mature-aged female student who has had limited
experience on the road, like myself. Most important was the attention you
paid to my special needs and to improving my observation skills. I thought
also that your stressing of safety issues was of paramount importance. Your
patience and sense of humour were instrumental to my enjoyment of my
lessons.
I could not have passed the test without your help all through the past
months. Thank you so much for instructing me, and most importantly, teaching
me safe driving skills. I looked forward to my lessons and was very happy
with each incremental and visible improvement in my driving along the way.
The whole experience has given me confidence and awareness on the road. In
the coming months, I am sure I will be driving my two babies around and I
hope to see you around.
I will definitely recommend you to my friends.
Keep in touch and look me up when you are able.
Take care and take it easy.
All the best

Hi Yvonne
Just wanted to say "thank you" so much for your teaching. it has been great to learn how to drive with you, you made
it fun, and relaxing, so I enjoyed my driving as a result. Instead of just
getting me to drive around the block 10 times, do a couple or reverse parks,
hill starts and 3 point turns, you turned it into an experience. You helped
me in experiencing Sydney city driving, and experiencing lots of different
situations that made me a safer driver, not just one who panics when
something happens that I don't expect. I am quite please that I passed 1st
go, and it was only because of your teaching.
A lot of other schools just do the "around the block" teaching. I
really feel that they don't really teach much except for the basics of how to
handle the car. You were able to teach much more than that - observation (my
biggest struggle), and safe driving. Anticipating that anything may happen.
And not assuming - other drivers can, and will, do anything that is not safe,
so we have to balance that out by being safe ourselves! It is also fantastic
to be taught by a female, not only did you let me make mistakes and explain
why they were wrong, you also were not aggressive in
the way you taught.
Am looking forward to buying myself a little car to drive around in, now's
the time for freedom!
Thanks again.

PS - I am happy for you to put this on the website!!

Dear Yvonne
Thank you so much for helping me to get my license on the first go, I never
thought I would enjoy driving as much as I learned to under your instruction.
Right from the very first lesson, you made driving seem like the most natural
thing in the world and I didn't feel the slightest bit stressed - quite
unnatural for me!
I tried several different instructors before I chose you, but after I'd tried
all of them it was clear that you were the best one. The other instructors
just sat next to me and made me endlessly repeat the same manoeuvres again
and again until I got them right. You stopped and explained what I was doing
wrong, why it was wrong and how to improve - meaning I learned how to drive
well much faster! Not only did I learn how to pass the test, but I learned
how to be a safe driver and avoid accidents with unsafe drivers on the road -
a skill which unfortunately not many other instructors I've come across
appear to value.
I looked forward to our lessons every week and will miss your humour and
entertaining observations. It was wonderful having you teach me to drive - I
felt like I had my own personal Yoda beside me once a week, imparting driving
wisdom in a thorough and memorable way.
Hope to see you on the road shortly - I was test driving cars two days after
I got my Ps so it shouldn't be long now!
All the best

Hi Yvonne
I hope you had a great XMAS and all the best for 2005
!!!
Thanks again for helping me achieve my goal of getting my licence.
Pls use feedback below for your website.
As a mature aged learner at 29 I was just not concerned about passing the
test but picking up all the right driving habits and practices to be a safe
driver for the rest of my life.
I had driver lessons in the past when I was 17 and failed the test two times
and did not drive again until I contact Yvonnes
driving school at 29. Yvonne makes you feel very comfortable while learning
at the same time which was very important to me as I was quite nervous of
driving.
Other advantages of this driving school would be
- Lesson Theory and homework early on in the lessons.
- Practical lessons on how a car operates and should be maintained
-Driving around the RTA test courses in a test environment that get's you
familiar with the process so you are less nervous on the big day.
Thanks again Yvonne

Dear Yvonne,
A THANK YOU cannot express my whole appreciation to you. When I received the
small gift from you, I really felt the honour to be one of your 'First Go'students.
You ever asked me 'Why choose my driving school, not others?' I think it's
the time to answer your question now:
- The passion from you when you teach the driving. You enjoy the driving
yourself. It really lights up our driving courses.
- You teach not only the driving skill, but also how to be a safe
driver.
As a woman, as a working woman, as a working woman with a child, as a new
immigrant to Australia, as an overseas driving license transfer to NSW
license, life ever was so hard for me. Sometimes I even cannot breathe under
the burden and the pressure. The weekly driving course became one of the
things I could enjoy during the past several months. I got my full license
after the first go; I turned to a happy mom now. I built up the confidence,
and the independence inside myself. This is the most valuable achievement I
reached with your help. This is what I learned from another confident and
independent woman, that woman is you -- Yvonne.
Thank you,
Leslie Li

Dear Yvonne,
Yvonnes Driving School made me into a confident, safe
driver. Yvonne, your calm, patient and understanding personality was an
amazing help through both the learning and (the long awaited) testing period.
You knew exactly when I was ready to take on new challenges, and most
importantly, when I was ready to get my P's. I passed first go, thanks to
you!
I now feel confident in my own ability to drive and handle myself responsibly
in many situations that may arise on the road.
You are one of the best teachers I've had for any area in life and you also
turned out to be a wonderful friend. You're so dedicated in what you do and
your love for your work really shines when you teach. Thanks for your support
and your faith in my ability!
All the best in the future and don't work yourself too hard =)

Dear Yvonne,
I still can't believe it! I passed my exam on the first go! What a big step
in my life. You did not only make the classes light and non stressful but
your passion for your work really came through while doing my driving classes
with you. And I surely appreciated seeing that. You had structure in your
classes which a lot of other schools lack. "Yep just driving around the
block" (some of the other schools do) and by the end of the lesson your in the same spot as you
began. But you had structure and an actually course outline too.
Ok Thanks again
All the best

Hi Yvonne,
Thanks so much for helping me gain my driver's license. Your patience and
encouragement has not only been comforting but has also helped me to believe
in myself, especially in my abilities to be a good and safe driver. Looking
back to 6 months ago when I first settled behind the wheels of your car, it
seems like just yesterday when I knew absolutely nothing about driving. Now,
6 months on, I've not only gotten my license, but I've also gained
confidence, skills and knowledge which could only stem from having a great
and competent instructor like you. It has been great fun having an instructor
like you! Thanks once again and I wish you the very best for the future! Take
care!
Yours truly,

Hi Yvonne,
I'm just writing to say thank you so much for helping me to gain my driver's
license in November! A whole new world of freedom and independence has opened
up for me. Before I had lessons with you I thought I knew everything there
was to know about driving; I was a bit of a smart-alec
you could say. Now I can see how much important stuff you taught me. The
patience, thorough training and pep talks you supplied are greatly
appreciated. It would be great if you had a testimonial section on your
website to post this on, (so make one!) as you deserve more recognition for
your driver training skills.
Thanks Yvonne and good luck in the future!

Hi Yvonne,
I would like to thank you for all your understanding and patience in helping
me master driving a manual. After many years of driving an automatic, there
were many bad habits that had to be kicked and new procedures to learn. You
took it all in your stride, taking all care to explain why and how something
had to be done.
I am now driving a manual confidently without worrying about rolling back
when performing a hill start.
Thanks you Yvonne!

Dear Yvonne,
Thank you so much for all your fantastic support, without you I don't think I
would have ever obtained my licence.
I have now had my Ps for just over a month and to be honest I feel like a new
person!! I have so much more independence now because I don't need to rely on
anyone else to get around. I also seem to have so much more confidence
now......and not just with my driving, but in every aspect of my life!!
I had been putting off driving for ten years because I always felt so
nervous, but you always managed to put me at ease with your kind words and
unlimited patience .........something which most driving teachers lack. I
know that because I have been taught properly that I am a safe driver and am
already better than many other drivers on the road.
Thank you again.

Dear Yvonne,
Thank you very much indeed for helping me to drive in a straight line, and
also to turn corners, and jump over fences.
You have been a great instructor, and will try my best to remember everything
you taught me, each time I drive.
I feel a lot safer and calmer and more in control than I did before.
The best of luck to you, and I hope business and HOLIDAYS are really
good.
